Hyporhamma Corda, Icon. fung.
6:13
(1854)
[see pdf]
[The priority of the name given by Corda over Hemitrichia Rostaf., 1873 has been well argumented by Martin, Mycologia 40(1):125-126. 1948. However, the reasons he expounds for considering Hyporhamma as a "nom. conf." are not acceptable according to the present nomenclatural code. The name Hyporhamma antedates the name Hemitrichia by 19 years and has priority. Lado, Cuad. Trab. Fl. Micol. Iber. 16. 2001, recognises, as did Martin, that this change presents various problems, and Hemitrichia is maintained because the proposal to conserve this name (Lado et al., Taxon 54(2):545. 2005) has been accepted by the IAPT Committe for Fungi (Gams, Taxon 54(3):829. 2005)] This name is a synonym of: Hemitrichia Rostaf. |
